2014 marked the 20th Anniversary of BMW’s plant opening in Spartanburg, SC. Not only has it made a huge impact on the local economy over the years, but it’s a phenomenal facility with an incredible employee culture — two things we needed to feature in the 20th Anniversary campaign elements. These in-plant signage pieces were part of the internal employee campaign, celebrating the people who’ve made the BMW plant, well, a BMW plant.
At the same time BMW was celebrating its 20th Anniversary, they began production on the new X6 at the plant. This board on I-85 announced both, acknowledging the impact the plant has had on the local economy.
Just before grilling season kicked in, Winn-Dixie launched 1/2-pound, Choice Angus Beef “Bigger, Better Burgers.” The first day these boards ran, burger sales spiked $75K. And kept on growing. Needless to say, The Beef People were pretty happy.
The Jaguars wanted to lock in as many 2013 season tickets holders for 2014 as possible, so they created a renewal deadline. We used digital outdoor boards all around town to countdown the last five days to the witching hour. Easily updating both concepts each day, we created the sense of urgency the Jags needed. And tons of fans responded—renewals blew away the numbers from the previous season.
