The Amex Blue card launch was a classic, iconic campaign. Literally. The TV, print and outdoor executions used the, at the time, totally unique looking card in really inventive “visual” ways. Of course, whattaya do with that in radio. Hmm. Well, David Appicella called and asked me to figure it out (I worked in the Dallas office, we fell under David’s team). An awesome opportunity, I created “theater of the mind” spots that conjured imagery as vivid as the super cool campaign elements developed by the New York team.
